Bagda sea beach is situated at Dublagari, in Balasore, Odisha. It is about 245 km from Kolkata , about 5 hrs 25 min by car. It is about 26 km from Balasore town and by road it is 1 hr. It is 229 km from Bhubaneswar, about 4 hr 55 min by road.
Now coming to the point, why should you go to Bagda beach when there is so much beaches throughout India.

Bagda Beach
You can get a beach beside the thick forest and the beach is one of the cleanest beaches of India. The beach is not much crowded. Small numbers of hotels and camps are there in Bagda beach. You have to walk through the jungles over the sand to go to the beach by hearing the roars of the sea, the Bay of Bengal. You can get red crabs , a green border just beside the beach and various pearls and oysters just beside the beach . A typical sea breeze will touch you while you walk by the side of the beach. The sunrise and sunsets are really worth describing.
Now coming to the point , how to reach Bagda beach.
Trains to go to Balasore
To reach Bagda beach, you have to first reach Balasore station. The trains are –
- Falaknuma Express [ Howrah 8.35 am – BLS 11.38 am ] ( SL 190 , 3A 510 , 2A 760 , 1A 1255 ) < runs everyday >
- Dhauli Express [ Shalimar 9.15 – BLS 12.45 ] ( 2S 120 , CC 430) < runs daily >

In Auto, it will take approximately 800 rupees for the whole auto booking and if you want car, it will take 1200 rupees approximately.

On the beach

You can do it a 1N/2D plan or 2N/3D plan. First day reach to your camp or resort. Do breakfast on roadside , try the famous ‘dal bora ‘ of Odisha.



After reaching the camp, do your lunch. In maximum camps there are two types of meals- normal and luxurious. The cost is also different. Then go to the beach and experience the beach. Experience camping beside the dense forest of Tamarix tree and touch the awesome nature beside the sides of roaring water. Enjoy time in the sea water beside the white sand. Then come back to resort/ hotel and spend the evening with snacks or kebab or fish fry etc. In some resorts , some tribal dance occurs. Enjoy the evening. Next day you can come back or can spend another day there.
